The SAA family is excited to wish you a safe and happy holiday season. We have all been affected by the Pandemic and SAA was forced to postpone our 2020 trips and move them to summer of 2021. It was a challenging year and SAA persevered while safely traveling 140 participants over 5 different weeks without any complications. We know that a portion of our participants were unable to attend and elected not to join us on our re-scheduled trips. We supported your decision and still think of you as a part of our organization.
For those participants that were unable to join us in NOLA, we are pleased to inform you Alaska Airlines will reissue your unused non-refundable ticket to fly in 2022. You must redeem your “group ticket” before Friday, December 31, 2021! Yes, we missed you on our 2021 rescheduled trips but our strong longstanding relationship with Alaska Airlines has enabled us to offer you this incredible opportunity.
SAA has negotiated a credit for you to use the non-refundable ticket SAA purchased. You can apply your $550 ticket towards new travel if the ticket is reissued by 12/31/2021. Your upcoming travel must be completed by 11/26/2022. The good news is there is no fee to reissue the ticket. Please note your travel destination (ticket value) will determine if you will need to pay any additional costs towards your new ticket.

Contact Alaska Airlines before 12/31/21
To reissue a volunteer ticket, email your ticket number to [email protected] OR either call the group desk at 1-800-445-4435 or Alaska’s general reservation line (they are open nights and Sundays) at 1-800-252-7522. Alaska Airlines will book your flight and reissue you a ticket. Remember, you have until December 31, 2021 to contact Alaska Airlines to reissue a ticket for travel by 11/26/2022.
You have a ticket number that cannot be exchanged online because it was part of a past group and you need to make a new reservation and apply this ticket. We suggest that you don’t wait until the 31st to contact Alaska Airlines; they may be busy and difficult to reach.
Donation
If you do not wish to use your ticket, you can donate the ticket to SAA. SAA will utilize ticket donations to support students who need financial support to travel and volunteer in NOLA. We can only accept your ticket donation if you email us before 12/31/2021 @ [email protected].
