Why SuperBuild
SuperBuild is our primary fundraiser for the year and supports student trip scholarships and leadership program.
A. This fundraiser is a chance for students to share with family and friends why they have decided to travel with SAA this year. You will help raise awareness about the ongoing struggles families in New Orleans are facing. Many people don’t realize that, 20 years after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, thousands of families are still working to rebuild their homes and lives. Some are still displaced, struggling to return to the neighborhoods they once called home.

Through this fundraiser, we hope to shed light on the deep, lingering challenges that many people in New Orleans continue to face. Our goal is not just to fundraise but to help people understand why this issue matters. Families in New Orleans have been enduring the fight to return home for years, and they need our support now more than ever.

B. Your Goal: Reach or Surpass It! As part of this fundraiser, each volunteer is expected to hit their individual goal or surpass it. This is an opportunity for you to show your dedication to the cause and your commitment to helping the families of New Orleans.

Once you’ve successfully reached your goal, we ask that you invite your parents and guardians to support your campaign as well. Their contributions can help push your efforts even further, ensuring we reach our collective fundraising goal and raise the awareness needed for this important cause.

Volunteers
1. Check-in time – 9:45AM @ the Wading Pool (see below for directions)
2. It will be Cold! Dress warm.
3. You will ONLY be walking with volunteers scheduled to be on your trip.

Green Lake Walk
Saturday, January 18th | 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Check-in @ 9:45AM 
MAP of Check-in Location: Green Lake Park 
* Meet at the Wading Pool
Near the corner of Wallingford Ave N. &
East Green Lake Dr. North (across from Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream and Zeek’s Pizza)

We will only walk around Green Lake Once. This should take approximately 45-55 mins. Please plan accordingly!
