Our Mission

“Shirts Across America provides young adults an opportunity to become thoughtful leaders as they volunteer to rebuild homes in communities affected by natural disasters.”

About Us

Shirts Across America was created by high school and college students in Seattle, Washington to help move families home in New Orleans and Mississippi. People told us we couldn’t make a difference, they said we were too young.

We decided to prove them wrong.

Since January 2007

  • Shirts Across America has sent over 3,000+ volunteers to NOLA and Mississippi.
  • Our volunteers have worked on 170+ homes/projects in the Gulf Coast region.
  • Shirts Across America has fully funded the rebuilding of 16 homes in New Orleans (NOLA) and Mississippi through donations and time worked by volunteers.
  • SAA has donated over 85,000 volunteer hours in New Orleans.
